Nancy O'Dell's broadcast career began as a reporter and anchor for WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. She later became a morning news anchor as well as crime reporter for WCBD TV. Her reporting of the ineffective responses of police officers to DUI incidents in Charleston resulted in an investigation conducted by the State Law Enforcement Division, which led to a change in direction from the state authorities on DUI cases. Ms. O'Dell was awarded the Best Report of the Media Award in South Carolina by the Associated Press. After her time in Charleston, O'Dell worked as an anchor co-host for the NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV and as an investigative reporter. She then became a part of Access Hollywood to work as the weekend and weekday correspondent. Her current position as a host on Access Hollywood is complemented by the work she has done for NBC News Today, Dateline NBC, and NBC News.
